Veiling Oddity is a 2/3 Illusion creature that you can exile instead of casting right away, paying {1}{U} to put it into exile with four time counters. Each turn during your upkeep, you’ll remove a counter, and once the last one is gone, you can cast it for free, and it gains haste, allowing it to attack or use its abilities immediately. The key feature of Veiling Oddity is that when you finally bring it back onto the battlefield, it prevents your opponent’s creatures from blocking for that turn. This can be particularly useful for making a sudden attack with other creatures or dealing damage directly, especially if you have a strong creature or two ready to swing in. However, the downside is that you have to wait four turns before it becomes available, and in that time, your opponent might be able to prepare for your attack or disrupt your plans.
