Territorial Maro is a creature whose power and toughness are determined by the number of different basic land types you have among your lands, multiplied by two. This means that if you control, say, a Forest, a Mountain, a Plains, and an Island, Territorial Maro would be a 8/8 creature, making it a formidable threat. You’d want to play this card in a deck that can reliably include a variety of basic land types, such as a five-colour deck, but keep in mind that if your mana base is lacking in diversity, Territorial Maro could end up being quite weak.
