Spawning Breath⁣ - Rise of the Eldrazi⁣ (Common)⁣ [164]

Spawning Breath is a two-mana instant from Rise of the Eldrazi that deals 1 damage to any target and leaves you with a 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn token. The token can be sacrificed for colourless mana, giving you a mana boost later in the game or a chump blocker in the meantime. It's a fine way to pick off small creatures or finish off an opponent while still getting lasting value from the mana-producing body, though 1 damage alone won't do much against bigger threats in mono-red decks.
