Sling-Gang Lieutenant - Modern Horizons (Uncommon) [MH1-108]

When you cast Sling-Gang Lieutenant, you pay three generic mana and one black mana to bring it onto the battlefield. Upon entering, it creates two 1/1 red Goblin creature tokens, giving you a small army of Goblins right away. The Lieutenant also has the ability to sacrifice any Goblin you control to deal 1 damage to an opponent and gain you 1 life, which can help you chip away at your opponent’s life total while also providing a bit of life gain to keep you in the game. This card is particularly effective in a Goblin-focused deck where you can generate and sacrifice Goblins for value. However, its downside is that it requires a considerable mana investment for a creature that only has 1 toughness, making it vulnerable to removal spells. If your opponent can easily deal with the Lieutenant or the tokens, you might not get much value from it.
