Saruman the White is a 4/4 Avatar Wizard from The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth that features Ward {2}, making it difficult for opponents to target. Each time you cast your second spell each turn, you amass Orcs 2, creating a formidable Army of Orcs that can overwhelm your opponents. This card fits well in spell-heavy control decks and strategies that focus on generating value through multiple spells per turn. **As a Commander:** Saruman the White can serve as an effective commander in a blue-based deck that utilises spellcasting synergies. His ability to amass Orcs provides a steady stream of threats, which can supplement a control strategy or be built around an Orc tribal theme.
