Manticore of the Gauntlet⁣ - Amonkhet⁣ (Common)⁣ [142]

Manticore of the Gauntlet is a 5/4 creature from Amonkhet that allows you to put a -1/-1 counter on a creature you control when it enters the battlefield. In addition, it deals 3 damage to any target opponent or planeswalker, making it a solid choice for aggressive red decks looking to pressure the opponent while managing board state. Its ability to weaken one of your creatures can be a strategic trade-off, especially in decks that can benefit from sacrificing or utilising smaller creatures.
