Gonti's Machinations is an enchantment that rewards you for losing life. Whenever you lose life for the first time each turn—whether from a creature attack, a spell, or any other source—you gain an energy counter. You can then spend two energy counters to sacrifice the enchantment, causing each of your opponents to lose 3 life while you gain life equal to the total life lost. This card can be particularly useful in a deck that intentionally reduces your own life to trigger its effects, or in a situation where you’re facing multiple opponents, as it can swing the game in your favour by draining their life while also replenishing yours. However, if you don’t have a reliable way to lose life regularly, it may not generate enough energy to be worth the investment.
