Departed Deckhand is a 2/2 Spirit Pirate from the Jumpstart set that sacrifices itself when targeted by a spell, making it a tricky creature to deal with. It can't be blocked except by Spirits, allowing for evasive attacks while also granting a mana ability to make another creature unblockable against non-Spirit blockers. This card works well in Spirit tribal decks or any strategy that benefits from evasive creatures, but be cautious of spells that can eliminate it before you can make the most of its abilities.
