Balmor, Battlemage Captain (V.2)⁣ - Dominaria United: Extras⁣ (Uncommon)⁣ [336]

Balmor, Battlemage Captain is a legendary Bird Wizard from Dominaria United that grants your creatures +1/+0 and trample until end of turn whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell. This ability synergises well with spell-heavy strategies, making it an excellent choice for decks that prioritise spellcasting and creature combat. However, its low toughness means you'll need to protect it from removal to maximise its potential. **As a Commander:** Balmor's colour identity of Izzet UR makes it a strong choice for a spell-centric commander deck, encouraging an aggressive approach with instant and sorcery spells. Alternatively, it can also fit nicely into the 99 of decks that aim to combine spell casting with creature aggression.
