Ashling, Rekindled // Ashling, Rimebound - Lorwyn Eclipsed: Extras (Rare) [XECL-290]

Ashling, Rekindled // Ashling, Rimebound is a legendary creature from the Lorwyn Eclipsed set, embodying the Elemental Sorcerer archetype. Upon entering the battlefield or transforming, you have the option to discard a card to draw another, providing a synergistic means to fuel your hand while enabling graveyard strategies. Additionally, you can pay {U} during your first main phase to transform Ashling, allowing you to switch between its forms strategically. This card fits well in red-blue (Izzet UR) builds that focus on card draw and spell-slinging, taking advantage of the card cycling and transformation mechanic. However, its ability to transform requires blue mana, which may limit its use in mono-red decks. **As a Commander:** Ashling, Rekindled could serve as an engaging commander for an Izzet-themed deck, allowing you to take advantage of card draw and versatile spells. While it offers some unique mechanics for a commander, it may perform better in the 99 of decks that focus on recursion and card advantage, as its transformation may not always align with aggressive strategies.
